Dental Veneers in Rancho Mirage

If you are so unhappy with your smile that you wish you could get entirely new teeth, veneers might be right for you. Dental veneers can dramatically transform your smile, fixing virtually any cosmetic problem on otherwise healthy teeth. Teeth that are discolored, damaged, gapped, crooked, or worn can be made bright, beautiful, and straight. Small teeth can be made large, and your teeth can be styled however you like. The treatment is fast–you can have an entirely new smile in less than a month–but the results are long-lasting: enjoy your new smile for ten years or more!

What Veneers Can Do for Your Smile

Veneers are versatile cosmetic dentistry treatments that can be used to fix many common complaints people have about their smile, including:

  • What can dental veneers do for you?Discolored teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Small teeth
  • Worn teeth
  • Unattractive tooth shape

Veneers can dramatically brighten your teeth in ways that teeth whitening can’t. Because veneers cover discoloration, they can correct discoloration that doesn’t respond to whitening, and they’re not limited by the color of your natural enamel. Your smile can be as bright as you want.

If you have gaps between teeth or crooked teeth, veneers can be used to close the gaps and straighten your teeth by reshaping them. This is so much faster than traditional orthodontics that we often call it “instant orthodontics.”

Dental veneers can also repair chips and wear on teeth, rebuilding them to their original height and shape. They can also build up small or unattractively shaped teeth so you can get the smile of your dreams.

Are These The Same As “Porcelain Veneers”?

Yes and no. We often use the terms porcelain veneers and dental veneers interchangeably, but modern veneers are made of advanced ceramics that are stronger than porcelain.

Am I A Candidate For Dental Veneers?

Most people can get veneers. If you have healthy teeth and are committed to caring for your oral health, you can get veneers.

Benefits of Dental Veneers

Veneers are an increasingly popular way to improve the appearance of your smile. Why are so many people choosing veneers? It’s because they offer so many advantages, including:

  • One procedure to achieve many cosmetic changes
  • Complete control over your smile
  • Results ready in less than a month
  • Long-lasting results

With dental veneers, you can achieve all the cosmetic effects listed above at once. You don’t need to choose one or the other. Veneers give you complete control over the results, you’re not limited by the natural shade of your tooth enamel or the shape of your natural teeth.

It doesn’t take long to get results with veneers. Once you commit to veneers, it takes just two visits, which we can complete in less than a month, possibly much less if you have reason to rush.

While veneers don’t take long to place, they do last a long time. Veneers easily last a decade or more with proper care, and sometimes last 20+ years!

Limitations of Veneers

Example of Dental VeneersVeneers have many advantages, but they do have some limitations. Veneers:

  • Can only be placed on healthy teeth
  • Require us to remove some tooth material
  • Don’t fully protect treated teeth
  • Are expensive

Veneers are cosmetic treatments, and they need healthy teeth as a foundation. In fact, we have to remove some tooth material to make room for veneers. This is a tradeoff: we lose some tooth material, but the veneer makes a smooth transition with your natural tooth so there is no shelf where food and bacteria collect. On the other hand, veneers don’t fully protect your natural teeth, so you need to take care of your teeth to make sure they don’t decay, which can lead to early failure of veneers.

And, of course, veneers are expensive. The exact cost of your veneers depends on what you want them to accomplish. Fortunately, if cost is an issue, we offer financing options. Also consider that you might get similar results from some less expensive procedures like dental bonding or BioClear.
