Modern dental technology has transformed the profession, allowing dentists who keep at the leading edge to offer services that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago. Dr. Rod Strober maintains his dental education so he is constantly aware of the latest developments, and evaluates all new technologies. When he sees one that he feels will benefit his patients, he brings it into the office.
Here are some of the more exciting additions to our practice (there are many more behind-the-scenes additions that streamline your experience, but you might not notice).
CEREC is an advanced CAD/CAM (computer-aided design / computer-aided manufacturing) system that lets us make full ceramic dental restorations while you wait, instead of sending them to a dental lab. This means you can get virtually any type of restoration placed in just one visit (including crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays). You don’t have to wear a dubious temporary or make a second visit to our office. Just come in and get it done. We use the latest version of CEREC, the Primescan, which offers faster, more accurate scanning.
Sirona Orthophos SL 11
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) gives us 3D images of your bones and teeth, letting us plan dental treatments such as dental implants with outstanding precision. The scanner has better resolution than typical hospital CT scans, and its open design means that you’re not cramped in as with those large scanners. Plus, it delivers a lower radiation dose, so you can have more peace of mind.
BioClear Matrix Veneers
Ceramic veneers are beautiful and durable, but they’re expensive. Dental bonding is affordable and quick, but it doesn’t last long, and doesn’t look as attractive. BioClear uses a flowable composite to offer the advantages of both procedures, and none of the drawbacks. Restored teeth look beautiful and the results are long-lasting, but it’s a fraction of the cost of ceramic veneers. Plus, BioClear preserves your natural teeth while making it easier than ever to address black triangles that might appear in your smile.
All-on-x Dental Implant System
If you are facing the loss of all your teeth, it might seem terrible to live without teeth. Fortunately, you don’t have to. With the All-on-x dental implant system, we can replace all your teeth in one day–it can even be the same day you have them removed so you never have to be without teeth. And you never have to get dentures. Instead, you can have a full set of attractive, comfortable, functional teeth replaced the same day.
Have you wanted to get your teeth straightened, but didn’t like the thought of metal brackets and wires? Invisalign straightens your teeth without any wires–you use clear plastic aligners instead. And with Invisalign’s new dental technology, more people than ever can take advantage of the treatment approach. Plus, you can get your treatment complete in about half the time it used to take–usually much faster than with traditional braces.
Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles is a smarter approach to braces than the traditional method. Instead of moving all your teeth, it focuses on just the teeth you really want straightened–the ones in the front of your mouth that can be moved faster and with less discomfort than others. This cuts the treatment time down dramatically, to just six months for most people. Plus, efficiency experts have streamlined the procedure so each of your visits is shorter, too. That doesn’t just save you time: it saves you money.
The Denture Fountain of Youth®
Traditional dentures are made with time-honored techniques that accept your replacement teeth aren’t going to look or function like natural teeth. But the Denture Fountain of Youth® uses advanced dental technology to make dentures designed to look truly natural. It also fits dentures so well that they function better than traditional dentures. Plus, the Denture Fountain of Youth® can dramatically rejuvenate the appearance of your face to make you look years, even decades younger.
Successful cosmetic dentistry depends on ensuring every restoration fits properly in your mouth. T-Scan helps us do that by measuring the pressure on each tooth as you bite down. This helps us make all your teeth balanced. Because it’s a dynamic sensor, it can even tell us when a tooth temporarily experiences excess pressure. The result is more precise fitting than dentists achieve with bite paper.
